Try Remington Core-Lokt in 100 grain. I used the same basic round last season in 6mm Remington with great success. The 2 does I took last year were with that round. See my gallery for pictures. :coffee:

.243 is a great deer round. Aim high shoulder and more than likely the deer will fall in his tracks. Remington core-lokts, Winchester Super-X, Federal Power-shok, or Winchester PowerMax are all good choices.
Another recommendation for shot placement is to try to put the round through both lungs. Did that with a doe earlier this season. I took off and ran, but it didn't run very far.
