I have just purchased a single shot 12 gauge New England shotgun and it has a smooth bore what is the best type of slug to use in a smooth bore. I also need to include that this is my first deer season in Virginia to use a shootgun!!!

well ya might get a better response in the shotgun section lol.. but in a smooth bore i like brenneke.. you gots to shoot some and see what ya like.
