Not even one traditional archer here?
I got my first bowkill with an Indian Black Hawk recurve in 1976 and still have that bow. I also have another recurve & three compounds, but nothing as new as most of you have. My newest compound is a Jennings Buckmaster.

PSE Firestorm Lite, Quick tune 360 rest, 29" carbon Express, 100 gr Muzzy = 298 fps
The afformentioned bow is now on backup status.
I just bought a new bow this afternoon and I cant wait to set it up and start shooting. The PSE X-Force Treestand GX has until today been a ghost. I have not been able to find one physically, and even online info has been scarce.

All online pricing that I have been able to find has been right around $1000.00. I picked it up for $580.00. And I got the last one this store had.

Man, I cant wait!!!

Thanks Ronn,

My backup bow is over due for a new string, so it will be going to the press soon.

I have some time to contemplate just how I want to setup the X-force, just dont know if I will be able to wait very long. I just watched the PSE dvd that they give you with the bow and I am already getting
EXTREMELY EXCITED.

I guess the first thing will be rest and site. that will at least allow me to get some shooting done.

I am going to take my son out in a couple of weeks to get him his first bow, this next season is going to be sweet.

watch out for the qad rest it doesn't fit mine without eaxtra parts. my son got the pse deer hunter a couple years ago. but now he's more about his girlfriend than about hunting. could be worse. grin

Thanks HM,

I read your post regarding the QAD rest ronn. there are probably a lot of reasons that come to mind as why there is the problem you mentioned. none of them are good.

You have some interesting thoughts go through your head when you have some quiet time in the stand, like what happens if you have a bow malfunction or accident. and how long will it be before you can get it taken care of and get back in the stand. If many members on this site are or were in the same boat as me, the guy that works on their bow is hunting when you have the problem. and with no back up, well I hate to think of being bow down in the middle of rut and no back up.
Don't get me wrong about the firestorm lite, that is a great bow and I plan to continue shooting it a lot. but I really needed/wanted a back up bow and like probably many others, fell to some of the PSE X force hype. well, we'll find out, and I'll let you know. I was getting really close to 300fps with the FSL and I really didn't spend a lot of cash or investigatory time setting it up. I think a bow thats IBO rating is 300fps and getting what I am out of it is phenomenal. and I shoot 60# @ 29" and arrows around 370gr. now I'll be at 70# @ 29" and the arrows I haven't decided yet. I do like the carbon express though. I just really have trouble seeing them going down range. need a custom paint job I guess.
