I once tracked a doe for 1 1/2 mile. A few other guys joined us and in a patch of tall grass she had tunnelled under some. Another time a searched the same patch of brush several times before I found the deer that crawled so close to a log, it was almost under it. it happens sometimes that you can't find them. They are real good at hiding.
