Hello ya'all, Im a new member to the site and really enjoyed looking around and seeing all the good stuff posted in here. Thanks for such a good site. BUT, I got a senerial that really peeves me off that Id like to hear feed-back on. I live in northeastern ohio and theres not alot of land that people are willing to let you hunt up here and its like pullin teeth to find a spot. But we got a game reserve that runs from where I live in Canfield all the way up to the top part of Warren. Its huge and driving around it you always see huge "and I mean HUGE" bucks. The problem being that it is a reserve so no hunting which I can respect as deer need somewhere to go to feel safe I guess,BUT I found out this year that the mahoning co. sewer dept actually owns the land and the dept. of natural resources takes care of it. No big deal huh, well check this out--- The dept. of sewer and sanitation are allowed to hunt these areas and we are not. What message is that sending to me---well, for all the hunting liences's I buy, for all the hunting equipment I buy, for all the stuff that the ODNR takes money out of it to keep the land and all replenished and all the things nice in areas like this, well someone else is hunting all these huge bucks that I see and Actually help feed(with buying all the stuff I do). Is it right for the peoples money to be used on this land for the property people to be getting FAT off of it????????? As the site says, its all about opinion and I definatelly have mine. The ODNR put signs up saying ABSOLUTELY NO HUNTING AND FISHING. so why are the sewer and sanitation people alloud to hunt it. Its like me putting money into a food plot that I cant hunt. Just thought Id share this situation with some fellow hunters and see what they think about it. I know nothing will ever get done about this but I felt it would be a good topic to discuss and let fellow ohioans know what some of their money supports!!!!!!!
