I ended up with all 3 of these after Dad and brother passed away. I'm not a big fan of the MK-V stocks but they do put some decent walnut in their rifles.

Like WD said, sorry to hear about the way you ended up with the rifles, but . . . . . .
they sure are works of art, both in the stocks and the leather accessories.

Something to hand down to the grandkids one day, that's for certain!

Weatherby stocks are easy on the eye...

I went Elk hunting with my Win Fwt 30-06 with a laminated stock. One of the guys I was with had a Weatherby Mark V also in 30-06. His wood was gorgeous. At the end of our Elk hunt the horses had all been nice enough to rub against trees and brush and my Win had scratches in its laminated stock that were almost invisable. He was talking about getting his Weatherby refinished when we got home due to scratches that really looked bad. I doubt if he did though, looking at them have to bring back some fine memorys of Idaho chasing Elk. I am sorry for your loss of family, but looking at the rifles they used/loved will bring back good memories of better times.
