Water Diet....

Wondering if anyone else does this...
I've been drinking ALOT of water lately to substitute other liquids in my daily intake. Typically I drink diet coke ALOT, or used to. Seemed like every can I drank as better than the last. I don't really drink much of anything else besides milk, water and diet coke.
Well I still drink milk, just not as much and a little diet coke from time to time, but have really started drinking the HECK out of water. Here's some things I've learned by doing this:

1. I have more energy (strange I know)
2. I have fewer headaches (less dehydrated)
3. I drink a tall glass 20-30 min before each meal.... makes me eat less.
4. When I want a snack, I repeat #3 above...
5. I don't get so many little colds... I never get full-blown sick, but have little annoying coughs or headaches, etc...
6. I only drink water that's ICE cold. I know I'm weird like that. NOT a hot liquid drinker and probably never will be. Milk has to be ICE cold and so does my DC.
7. I spend less money on milk and DC. We were buying about 3 gal of milk a week and my wife doesn't drink it! Just me and my 2 1/2 y/o. Plus about a case of Diet Coke a week and that's around $7 a case (not alot, but still)
8. My son now wants to drink more water than sugary juice or pop (sorry we call soda "POP" in missouri)

Hope this helps anyone out there wanting to feel better and/or start a "MAN-DIET". Believe me, these things will happen but NOT overnight. Give it 2 weeks or so and I guarantee you'll start feeling better.

I like the way you think!!
haha I don't believe so fellas! Definately not on #2 and #7.

you might think you have #1 though... ha!
Tator, I'm on a diet right now it's called gavelytely to clean the plumbing system prior to testing. I would call it s..t your brains out.:green:
No soda or pop as you call it in my house just way to fattening. I like kool-aid with sugar substitute zero calories...
Water doesn't really have a huge nutritional value but has no calories and keeps the body well hydrated, also, it aids in keeping the digestive system clean and clear. The water before a meal was a major point in my training regimen back when I was lean and mean.
Ok, now i'm on the POP thing... What do you all call soda? Soda? Soda pop? or just POP?

I also learned when I went down to S. Carolina for boot camp back in '01, that when I ask for a Juicy Burger, I get a strange stare. A juicy burger is a SLOPPY JOE or Manwich... which do you all call it?
Soda & sloppy Joe here

My grandfather called it soda water when I was growing up. We call it "coke", mainly because that's what mama drinks. (She tells me that I'm going to kill myself by drinking Pepsi - I'm a Pepsi-holic and really don't like Coke."

As for a juicy burger? Sloppy Joe's have all kinds of extra spices and other things mixed into the ground beef. Manwich? I guess that is left up to the chef and/or the one holding the bun. A juicy burger to me is one that has maybe a little too much juice/fat/whatever still in the meat.

But that's just MHO. :wacko::wacko:
Anything carbonated here is referred as "coke"... Or if being specific we usually just call it what it is.

A Dr. Pepper is a Dr. Pepper... A Pepsi is a Pepsi...

But if you said "Im going to the store to buy some coke" it does not mean your buying just coke. It means any of the carbonated (didnt spell that right) beverages.

If you say Soda or Pop Im going to look at you weird.. Even though my wife calls it soda.

A Juicy Burger is exactly that.. A burger with a lot of grease!

A sloppy joe is a sloppy joe.
MMM DR. Pepper
having one right now
So Waterboy how is the High Quality H20 going
You get that Tom yet?
One gut at work calls it soda. I call it pop.

Haven't had a headache in over 2 months! Plus been noticing a boost in energy,,, those are the two main things. Still need to cut back on diet coke. That stuff is awesome.

Glad the water is working & good luck with the Bird

I think I am more excited about my daughters first gobbler hunt then she is

That excitement will shift quickly to her when she hears that first gobble!
I think so too she has deer hunted the last 2 years (youth weekend only) w/ no luck
hasn't even seen a deer yet So I think when she gets the sights on that Tom her heart will be pumping
"Still need to cut back on diet coke. That stuff is awesome."

Awesome??? or Awful???

What I don't get are the folks who order a super sized meal at either Mickey D's or Burger Fling, getting all that sodium/fat/etc. from the burger, then even more from that super sized order of fries, and then order a "diet-coke" because they're cutting back on calories.

I just don't get it . . . . .

That would be the Tator......
