I just checked gunbroker.com, they show several new style 81 series mags but none of the older ones that hang down about 1/2 lower. I would keep checking that site for availability.

I have a pre 81 BLR myself & have been looking all over for a mag myself.
Several guys bought all they could get their hands on and sold @ 2 & 3 times the factory prices when they found out no more would be made.If I locate any I will let you know.Pull up on the enternet BLR pre 81 magazines.Then you can get on a waiting list.I am on a waiting list with MIDWEST GUN SUPPLY.There are about 22 or so people on their waiting list right now.I will be searching gun shows as well.
