I would suggest you choose a caliber of at LEAST a .270 or higher.
I think the most common Caliber for deer, moose even Black Bear is the .30-06.
The 30-06 has a Large range of Bullets to choose from,
Most all of the rifle manufacturers produce good quality Weapons with great accuracy,
You should be able to easily find a .270 or a .30-06 in your price range.
