For each of us a trophy whitetail could be different. What do you guys consider a trophy? I ,for me personally, call a trophy a mature buck reguardless of antler size or one with more than 150" reguardless of age.:pickle:

I tend to agree with the mature buck. Many areas will not produce a 150" buck. I know many of you will disagree but, taking a mature doe with a flintlock, I consider a personal trophy. I think in some regards all the animals that we take are in some way a trophy. For the true trophy buck hunter I would guess 150" would be the starting point. I also think the method used to harvest animals, makes for personal trophies. After all, when its all said and done, the memories will be worth way more than any set of horns! After 41 years of hunting, I have many personal trophies, none of which could hang in Cabela's but I wouldn't trade any one of them for someone else's deer. So to sum up, trophies are probably a personal assessment of a harvested animal taken with-in the laws of the state and in a fair chase senerio, which are then simply entered into one's own historical hunting scrap book. Guys its the memories of the hunt and the buddies current/past that you shared camp with that make for life's real trophies. Talk about rambling on, sorry!

Any buck that I have targeted and harvested. But generally speaking the same as you Ron. 150-160's and better. Mature bucks 5 1/2 years of age and better. OH YEA! ANY OLD DOE that has blown at me more than 3 times. I hate that! It is like alright already you caught me now shut up!:ranting:

But When Children Are Involved Its A Hole Different Story.i Have A 11 Year Old Son And When It Comes Time For Him To Harvest A Legal White Tail Doe Or Buck Big Or Small Its Still A Trophy And I'll Make Him Feel Like He Has Won A Million Dollars.

Anytime spent with our children in the outdoors are memories that will out shine all else to me. As they get older with lives of there own those times spent will always put a smile on your face.
Every Whitetail Deer that has ever been legally harvested, during fair chase,
taken with the utmost respect for the animal is a trophy whitetail in my eyes.
Im with ya BB.they're all trophies in my book
I'll go with Bruce on this one too.
Of course, if someone wanted to challenge themselves, they might define a trophy accordingly. That is to say, not shooting anything below a certain body or antler size, but that would just have to apply to them and not "imposed" on anyone else. I guess, what I'm saying is that everyone has to set their own standards for what constitiutes a trophy.
I think that is what he was asking not imposing.

Yup, what he said!
