Your gonna hate this.... but here in Missouri, we start bow season every year on September 15! (and for both buck and doe)
*if you want even more torture... take a look at the 10 pt buck i shot on September 26 (last sunday) in the bowhunting forums. :O)

Rifle season generally begins for Missouri around the middle of november-- this year it's November 13-23. Always lasts for 10 days. Bow season stops on the 12th of november, and picks back up on the 24th. We also have an antlerless rifle season after the November rifle season 13-23. It starts on the 24th and goes until the mid-december.
MOVE TO MISSOURI!!!! :O)

You're gonna hate this too. Here in Montana, big game hunting starts with archery antelope on Aug. 15, and ends with the close of rifle deer/elk on Nov. 28, with winter mountain lion season ending on April 14, 2011. And how about this for real "torture": we have hunting season for 10 species of big game (eleven if the judges get their heads out of their a***s and let us resume wolf hunting). That's more huntable species than Alaska.
