Low rain fall is also another issue we have. Thanks for the tips.other than rye grass I don't know what will grow in low sunlight. I've had problems the last 3 years in PA with good sun. This year had low rainfall on what was left from last year's clover. Maybe some of the other members have some suggestions for your area and needs.
Now that I think about it. Mushrooms may be worth checking into.Mushrooms. Ha! Seriously not alot of options for shade. Inland Sea Oats comes to mind it's a native grass that grows in shade. I believe it's range is from SE. US to Texas. Not sure about nutritional value, but has large seed heads. Should atleast be good attractant for deer and turkey.
