Blood spots here and there the size of dimes. It took some work and about all the trailing skill I had in that tangle of vines and trees. Just about 200 yards and fell dead 13-steps from one of my new stands. Dadgum beautifull 4-point. Fat as a pig. During the 250-yard drag, I do believe he gained weight. I am pretty sure he is 2.5.
That is the third and last deer for that broadhead and of course, one turkey. Went in through the shoulder, ranged down to almost in fron of the hind leg and lodged in the offside skin. No exit wound, high entrance wound= little blood. But talk about internal damage! Man, he was some torn up.
He is now skinned and cut into pieces and heading home with a friend of mine. Nice morning and time for me to back off for a while. Three deer and a toikey in seven days is enough for an old man for a while.
