the simple answer to this question, is i am porbably over obsessed with not hunting with a gun unless i can drive tacks with it. and just before the season opens i got to the range to make shure i am dead on with them. doing this with to many guns would be verry time consuming and costly in ammo. i use the .270 when i am in an area were i can realy rech out and touch somthing. i use the 12 ga when i am hunting in a shotgun only area, or in a dence area were the reality of a long range shot is slim to non. and the .44 mag always is on my hip when hunting. if i go out with a bow this year, and have a real close range shot on a buck, and want to save the bow tag for another time incase the next deer i see is a doe, then i will use the .44 mag. I think that covers my bases realy well, so i see no point in adding another rifel into the mix. i am not a collecter, all my guns serve a purpose. if i see a void that needs to be filled i will go out and buy a gun that fills that void. but untill i feel there is a void i prefure to keep it to the keep it simple method. yes i just might have OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) but i feel i owe it to my game to ensure a clean kill, and keeping it simple is just one of the ways i do just that.If you aren't going to use them
Then why have em?
I personally don't collect guns just to show off I buy guns that I use for hunting or just love to shoot
all my guns get used all year long & where I am hunting will determine what gun I am using
thats not what i was saying at all. i was saying that if i got my bases covered well with the three guns i had mentioned i dont feel the need to use any otheres for hunting, and that it alows me to focus all my pre season range time on just three instead of many. and just cause i only hunt with thoughs 3 dont mean that i only own thoughs 3 or that i think owning a limmited amount makes me snobby about how i shoot. assuming that from my post is awfully forward of you id say.:yucky:And it's your belief that because you don't own as many, or use as many guns that you do better with yours?? That's awfully forward, I'd say....
thanks. would be realy great to learn it form someone with expeiance in hunting that particulare game.AR is great for Coyote I will keep ya in mind when I start up again
thats not what i was saying at all. obviasly you need many diferent types of lures, because one day your spinners might work great, and not so great the next, but that day a poper will bring em in. a good deer round will do its job every time, wether its a .270, 30-06, 7mm-08, 300win, 30-30 (you get the point) so i dont see why i would want to use the .270 one day, and a 300-06 the next, just more guns i have to worry about being acurate with.opps, I guess I should start selling some fishing lures. I couldn't see having 1/2 doz lures and 2 rods to do all my fishing. I can understand some of the points you guys are making about having only what you need/shoot, makes a lot of common sense. Maybe I'm excessive a bit.
