Greetings from Vermont Taz, Welcome to the Club.
Standing corn is so hard to hunt you're better off to wait till it's cut down because all you're doing now is letting the deer get to know you.
Good Luck to you...

I hear ya man. Back home is the same way. Season starts in five days and all the corn is still up. Heard they will be shelling corn til turkey day. When pheasant hunting a couple times last week and was real tempted to hunt behind the big green bird dog! Good luck man. The only thing you can do is put in your time and keep at it.

Hey Taz
Where you at in Iowa,
Im in the northeast corner. Weve got the same problem here. They just started combining here last weekend. Im hopeing they get the feilds out around me soon.
Ive been out three weekends now and havent been seeing much. Its been pretty discouraging. I dont think the 70 degree weather helped last weekend either.
Good Luck!
Scott

Gotta love that repeat buisness! Deer hits started big time here last friday. Just as soon as the combines got rolling.
We had a nice 12 pointer hanging out in the cedars behind the shop. Got hit last sunday night!!at least we picked up the job.
Isn't Storm Lake out by Okaboji?

Im from oswego county in New york and i am 15 and i am on the edge of an corn field. All the darn deer hide in there until its dark. But today i got in my stand about 1 PM and i saw about 8 deer. i guess they are moving better because the rut is beginning but i will be a happy camper when the farmer decides to cut this corn
