Tennesse is a great place to live for an outdoorsman. Lots of hunting and fishing, reasonable weather and the job market is getting better. In Chattanooga the VW car plant is begining constrution and within four years between the plant and the supporting businesses will ad about 20,000 jobs to the area. Alstrom makes boilers for the nuclear plants and word is they are looking for 250 union shop welders for about 20 years worth of projects.

Come on down!

Joel, I'm from KY, the extreme western end. Compared to the rest of KY we're like the red headed step child. Cost of living is cheap, we're always way below the national average on everything. Hunting and fishing is great, big time agricultural area. Weather is mild. Job availability....well get one before you move here. There are some, but to make any money you need to be skilled labor. I don't know what you do now for a living. Not a bad place to live.

like buckshot said TN isnt a bad place at all.. Matter fact I could care less if I ever move out of this state.. The Chattanooga area job market doesnt look bad but over in my area its getting hard to find a good job. Like someone said before me get the job before you move.. Unless your wife is loaded and you dont have to work.
