I am just curious, I know first hand that the white tailed deer are some really tough four legged animals to say the least. maybe you have some stories to add to there legacy.

I heard one last week at the range. another shooter was telling me he is going to get a faster bow because this deer he has had the opportunity to shoot at several times , keeps ducking his arrow. when asked how fast his bow is now, he replied 315 fps. when I asked him the range of the target, he replied 20 yds.

something is amiss here. or that is the fastest mammal on earth.

from a tree its real easy to shoot over. got to aim low with the steep down hill and then there is the ducking bit.

I didn't get into the details with him on his elevation or aiming point. Assuming he is aiming low on the target and doing everything correct, I am just wondering how much faster at that range he thinks is going to make any difference. 315 fps, the arrow is getting to the deer in roughly 1/5 of a second.
