Still Shooting A TC

However, it's not an inline. It's a Renegade. I really love the old traditional way. I fly fish with a bamboo rod and silk line. I tie all my flies with natural materials.

So, the inline was rubbing me the wrong way. It was very accurate and powerful. It had a usable range of 200 yds. It was light and sealed from the weather. It also cost $2.00 a round to shoot it. It was butt ugly in my eyes. It was modern. I grew to hate it. I sold it.

So, for me, it will be sidelocks, and a PRB to hunt with from now on. It will also be open sights, and with my crappy vision. It will mean getting much closer. No matter. More challenge. More fun.

Now, don't anybody take this personally. I judge nobody on what they use. This is a personal thing for me only. However, if you hunt the traditional way too...

That's why I enjoy the flintlocks the best.
Ah well. I meant well, but it didn't work out. My eyesight has gotten too bad from my last operation to shoot open sights for hunting. I'll still mess around with the sidelocks, but for hunting i'll go back to the Omega and scope. The buyer backed out, so I still have it.

Such is life.

On a plus side. The DOW has issued me a special permit because of my eyesight to use a scope during ML season here. Colorado is no scopes for ML season.
well that sucks! I hate when that happens/

Hey speaking of flintlocks, did you guys catch Duel Survival? They were in Argentina and used a flintlock. They didnt get anything but it was a pretty good episode. Love that little bare foot hippie on that show! LOL
