Although I have not

Although I have not used this particular boot I have had sreaevl pairs of Redheads in other styles. I don't have a bad thing to say about the quality and dependability of this brand at all. BassPro's personal brand products are great!!!

yeah lower AL would be a long trip for most of the hunting population. They said they have several northern boys come down every year. I was kinda surprised. I am hoping it is as good as advertised. The guy I talked to on the phone seemed like a good down to earth dude.

You are right about

You are right about seeing a lot of big bucks, but knoniwg if they are big enough is tough no matter how many you've seen. Our group has a 160 inch minimum and this deer is rare even here where we are the only hunters ever and the land is so large. For me I'd vote for shooting a buck that excites you and the hell with the number of inches of antler it holds, but my Texas friends don't see it that way.

yea LA. it sounds like fun. be sure to give us a full report.
Im going to do something similar to your article you just did on your PA hunt. So it should be detailed and let other hunters know if this a good hunt with good people or not. Im looking forward to it. Ive never hunted Alabama for deer before or been on a paid hunt before. One of my hunting partners on my lease is suppose to go as well. Good eating, deer hunting, and hopefully good company as well.

Ill give ya'll a full report on whether or not this hunt is worth the money.

Yes I went. I posted how it went in the campfire I think.

I did not get a deer. Weather was horrible.

I would do it again if I had $750 to blow on deer hunting. Good people, good steak dinner, nice hunting spots.

Not every hunter that goes hunts the same area. Its a toss up on who you get matched with. I have no complaints about where I went, guides, etc. I dont know about the other areas though.

Let me know if you go.

Thank you for the update. I am considering it if I can get away from work. What were the accommodations, hotel?, how far from hunt area?

Thanks again!!

Rumor was we stayed in one of the best places they had. We were in a 3 bedroom cabin right across the street from where we were hunting. The guides (a father and son that knew their business) picked us up and took us out whenever we wanted.

As far as the other areas I cant tell you. I do know they usually try to have you stay with whoever is guiding you. That could be someones house or someones cabin. They only put you in a motel if they have an excess number of hunters. This usually does not happen because they cut the number off around 50 I believe.

They have hunting areas in 3 different counties. All good buck producing counties for the state of AL.

Our guide shot a 153 inch deer on the same place we hunted the year before.

Hope this helps.
