You need to move up into a cooler part of Colorado.

Barrel heat is never a problem for me.

actually the last traditions i had, i had to do mega stock material removal in order to get the pressure off the barrel at the front of the stock. Shot awesome after that.

I know you don't want to hear this. The Vortek UL I had shot better than the two Optimas and Accura V2 I had. You should have bought it when I offered it to you. It shot BH 209 perfect with no mods too.

However, none of them can out shoot my Omega. :yes:

Maybe, but I did say it out shot the CVA's I had.

So, you can say I must be a lousy shot, but keep in mind I was the one shooting the Vortek too. :yes:

I don't shoot off a bench at all. I always shoot the way I hunt. Off my knee.

Yeah, FG i'm shaky. I just time my shakes when they pass over the target.

You still need to know how to breath and squeeze the trigger, but it does help hold the sights steady.

Just for laughs FG. Shoot some targets the way you hunt. That's useful info to me. I haven't found a bench in the mountains when i'm hunting.

I like to go down on one knee. I've never found a spot that the position didn't work for me.

How do you normally shoot while hunting?

You mentioned your brother in law squeezing the stock. It was about 30 years ago that I realized i was twisting the stock when I shot. I never wrap my thumb over the wrist of the stock anymore. I leave it on top behind the hammer. It helps me hold the gun level, and relieves tension too.

Are those fully extended? They look low for the kneeling position.

Nuts! That would have been perfect, but i'm too used to using the kneeling position.

Plus, I don't mind putting a knee in the mud, but would rather not sit in it.
