·i want to kinow aboutt slugs for deer in 20. gauge
You will be able to use rifled slugs in it, just don't put in a tighter choke. If you're just using a bead sight then get out and practice with it, and know your limitations.I have a .12 gauge with a mod choke factory barrel on it idk what it is can i put a slug through it?
What he said. SST's are quite impressive.get a rifled barrel for it and use the hornady sst slugs for rifled barrels.there AWSOME
I have pretty good luck out of the Brenneke Heavy Field Short Mag aka "Green Lightning" rounds with a 870wingmaster smoothbore with a 4in circle out at 100yds. This is my old reliable gun/backup gun but in my current gun which is an 870 with a rifled barrel shooting the sst rounds and that can get the group down to 2inches at 100yds. Both guns are scoped and 12 gauges. Either way they both get the job done.yes, they are fairly cheep so find which one your barrel likes. Your max range with a smoothe barrel will be around 50-60 yds and knowing where the slugs are on paper. Breneke (spell?) is one to check out.
The last two deer I shot with Honady SST's (300 gr.) dropped where they stood.get a rifled barrel for it and use the hornady sst slugs for rifled barrels.there AWSOME
