Ohio's gun season comes in Nov. 29. I already have bagged my buck for the year during pre rut with my bow, but I'm looking forward to a few days a deer camp with friends and family. I hope to thin out the doe herd a little. I switched slugs this year from Federal Vital Shocks to Federal Fusion. I'm shooting an old Mossberg 500 with a 24" rifled slug barrel and these Fusions group great at 50yds (3" group of 5 open iron sites, bracing the forearm on a tree, so probably better group from a bench but I've yet to find a shooting bench in the woods I hunt, plenty of trees though).
Just thought I'd pass on the info on the Fusions since there aren't any real reviews out there. The cost of the Vital Shock is the reason for the switch. The Fusion is about 35-40% cheaper and your not giving up the tight groups.
