I'm new to ML hunting and I'm sighting in my new gun this Saturday, I hunt mostly wooded area and my farthest shot is about 100 yards. After its sighted in, if I were to shoot at a target from less then that would it hit right on the cross hairs or would i need to aim a little high?

50 to 75 yards the bullet, depending what it is, should be anywhere from 2 to 3" high and then dead on @ 100yards.

It all depends on your velocity, bullet weight, where you're sighted in at 100 yards.

Would the manufactures provide the information about that in their packages?

Sight for 100yards then shoot at fifty to see how much the round moves. That would be your best bet, seeing what happens is much better than assuming from data given by the manufacturer.
