Finally got the Savage today and really lucked out as it was everything the seller stated and photos showed. I was contacted by the seller from PA this afternoon just to see how I liked it. This is the first time doing online auctions I've gotten a personal call. It actually is a 1948 model EG, seller was only off 1 year. Got the bases mounted tonight and now need a scope. I've wanted a Savage 99 in 250-3000 cal for a long time and as luck may have it the seller has a lead on a really clean Winchester model 88 in 308, if this happens then I think I'm done on gun purchases/dreams for a while. However, there are 5 spaces open in the safe! :whistling: As soon as I get a scope I'll post a photo.
