Karl, can't help on the trigger pull, just add a comment though. The only son has claimed my Rem 700 Mountain rifle and my TC Fire Hawk. How that happen is beyond me. Maybe that's why I'm still buying :wallbash:
I bought a Remington 700XCR a year and a half ago that came with the "new" trigger, whatever it was called. The trigger was set at a fuzz over 5lb from the factory. I had it reduced to 3lb before shooting it.I was just shooting at the range today and complaining about the trigger on the Sako I was shooting. I haven't got it in yet to have the trigger pull reduced down to the 3 to 3 1/4 lb that I usually have my rifles set at. Has anyone placed a trigger scale on the new Ruger Hawkeye M77, Remington M700 with x-mark pro trigger, or the new Winchester M70 with the moa trigger. These do feel nice from the factory I was just wondering what they are actually set at. My Sako is almost 20 years old, it is one of the Sako AV bolt carbines. The rifle is basically new but now that my oldest son has claimed my Win M70 Fwt, I have to get used to the Sako. I gave both my sons the choice of which rifles they wanted, the Sako is left for me after my younger son claimed my Ruger No 1 International.
