Tomorrow starts Kentucky rifle too! I am for sure pumped to hopefully get a look at some of the nice bucks we've caught on the trail cam. Made a coupe of mock scrapes the other day, stand is in place and I think I'll use my CZ 550 Fs in 9.3x62 for the opening morning hunt. Weather looks pretty good @ about 30* called for in the morning.

This morning was great M/L hunting in Tn, 23* and heavy frost, very still. No big bucks roamed by however. Yesterday I had a small 8 pnt run a doe within 30 yards of my stand and saw a little spike wandering around, wondering what he was supposed to be doing...lol

So this start to rifle season has been the worst its been in a long time..wind constantly blowing between 20-45 mph. Everyday.. the seer are in rut. But its a full moon, so think their moving more at night.. I've tried mutiple stands.. but nothing.. I hope it gets better.. but the bright side is I have seen so many dang squirrels.. prolly enough that if i shot all of them, I could prolly equal the weight of a small doe.. no joke.. squirrel control possibly after rifle season ends.. their noisey and make a whole lot of racket to where it sounds like a deer coming through the woods..
