Can a .22 be used to hunt turkey? would I be better off with a bow? I will not use a shot gun for personal reasons.

Here it's illegal to use a rifle to turkey hunt with. Shotgun, bow, or crossbow only. And shotgun shells can only be #4,5,or 6 shot size.
If it is legal where your at, it's still going to be a tough shot, you would almost have to catch a timing right for a head shot. I thing your wasting your time to body shoot one with a rifle. I believe your going to fatally wound it but will most likely not recover the bird. It will run or fly off, and don't bleed enough to track. Personally I think a shot gun is best and would do less damage with greater success of retrieving the bird.
