Don't forget another option: flint and real black powder! The way muzzleloading used to be. I still have more fun shooting the old style guns, and they kill things very well.

hey good to see another flint man. Well to tell you, I spend my flintlock hunting in Pa during the late season after Christmas. There are 4 of us that hunt from our camp its a blast to hunt the old way. I don't go to any of the matches as in NW Ohio there are not any that I know of. I built a Hawken 54 flint full stock, and have a TC PA hunter in 50 cal. How about yourself where do you hunt?
