My dad missed yet another deer this year because he forgot to turn on his dot. If he doesn't forget to turn it on he forgets to turn it off and then the batteries die. This has been going on for ten years or more and I'll bet it has cost him that many deer. I would not buy one, too much already has to fall in place to shoot a deer without adding another variable. Just my two cents.

Sorry, I was mistaken about the kind of sights you were talking about. You mean the scope looking deal with the lit up red dot right? I seen that setup before on a turkey gun but I don't have any experience with that.

I was thinking about getting a red dot sight for my shotgun. Does anyone know if they're any good?
I was wondering the same thing 2 years ago when I got my new Rem .12 Guage.
SO what I got was an inexpensive one to see what they would be like and MAN was I shocked at how nice this little scope turned out for me.
I ended up buying a Barska 42mm Red Dot and best of all it only cost me $25.00 BUCKS !!!! How can ya go wrong with that?
