Last year we found planted plots put out by the forrest service for the turkeys in some areas of the national forrests I have been hunting the last 15 years.Man you talk about your deer magnets.I hope they keep planting them but I know once more hunters find them it will get interesting to say the least. They used old logging roads and it worked out very well.

thats cool. in tenn last year for some reason the state planted several 100 acres of corn on some wasteland property that is open to the public. that ended up being a deer magnet. the only problem was every gun hunter in our state knew about it. i hunted it a couple times during bow though because it was still free of other hunters.
i wish we could do that NY dec will haul you to jail
There's a WMA here in Louisiana that got clobbered by Katrina and lost a lot of trees.

The good news: it created instant clearings that LDWF turned into huge food plots. Rumor around the campfire is that the deer, turkey, and gamebird populations have flourished in the past 2 years because of it.

We'll see in about a month!
They do the same thing here in KY..WMA......This attacts more hunters than deer..
