problem with my vortek

I test fired my vortek about 2 wks ago to make sure it was ready to go. Everything was fine. Now after loading up I find the hammer will not go forward far enough to strike the firing pin. I took the trigger assembly out and everything looks fine but it still will not go forward enough to strike the pin. Any suggestions? Thanks:confused:
