I will say physical therapy is a pain.... in a good way.

Now on a good note, my Physical Therapist and his partner are both bowhunters. They both told me that I WILL be using my bow next season for sure. My surgon was one of my PT's surgons for his torn RC that he had in his right shoulder (right handed) and was told that he would not be able to shoot again. Well he didn't get his elk this year but got his buck with his bow.

My PT has given me some excersizes to do using my bow, he said just do not go full draw. Just enough to taunt the string, then bring my bow up to level off but don't wear myself out doing this either.

That's very good to have PT staff who know exactly what your going through. They'll get you on the right track to healing. Good Luck to you.

Hope that strengthening goes well for you. I'm still working on pain management from surgery in June. I can shoot a few arrows per days but pain is a good indicator to know when to stop. Sounds like you got a good team working with you on the rehab. Good luck!

Sounds like you'll be all right - I hope so. I may have a torn left RC. Haven't had an MRI yet, but trying to work on it with PT. My physical therapist thinks it might be an impingement which can be corrected with therapy and exercise instead of an operation. I sure hope so because the surgeon said I'd be tied up for at least 6 months if he had to operate!

I have to admit that I don't like neddles, but I think I'm going to try acupuncture to see if the pain can be reduced. Anything to avoid another surgery. Anyone out there had the treatment done and did it help?
