good luck. hope the crowd goes away for you. i hate being crowded trying to hunt anything
pheasants
went out today its the opener.the public spots were packed 2 were so crowded the guys were waiting to go in.i went to a 3rd one and met a guy in the lot with a dog we paired up he got one bird and his dog busted another too far away for a shot .he left after an hour and a half so i went to a 4th spot saw a rooster on the road and some squirels out of range.bumped a huge deer but no pheasants.oh well this weekend me and my buddy are going and bringing the lab.they restock the birds friday night so hopefully we'll get a crack at some:wallbash:

no one really hunts in my area past the first week
Had a great season
My buddies and I went on our traditional, post Iraq deployment pheasant hunt in Lubbock and downed some good cocks! We totalled out with 26 birds in three days. The two GSPs we took out did a great job!!!(considering it was their first real hunt and they had been trained on qual) This is our second hunt and both have been really successful! I tried to add a photo but they're too big to upload.

lol small game in my area is basicly hogs or squirrels, thats about as small as it gets. the fire ants have killed just about everything els. might not be long and they will have the deer gone too!:no:
