just wondering what yall thought would be ideal weather for hunting turkeys. in tennessee i think you have better luck or whatever you want to call it when its decently sunny warm weather.
the past couple days down south its been cold and the hunting buddies i got have had little luck in getting a gobbler to talk to them. would yall blame that on the weather or the hunter/caller?

yes i agree im in ne PA and with the cold weather we have been having the birds seem to have disappeared! we had a few days in prior weeks where it was sunny 60-70 degrees and birds were everywhere and very vocal with this cold weather and snow for easter they may not come off the roost until noon!! thats ok as long as we get a little warm up for 4/28 our spring gobbler season opens

in tennessee i hope it warms up before 4/28 or alot of our turkey hunters may be emptyhanded for the spring season. I can't remember the actual day of closing but it is the end of Aprril sometime.

here in nys i like a light rain day for it keeps the weekend warrior in side and the birds still move and the rain helps cover and light sounds you might make
