not in the mood

any of you guys ever, not in the mood to hunt? today is probably my last chance to hunt for the season. because of the i will probably go out any way, but for some reason im realy not in the mood.

If you stay home there will be that thought of "I wonder what went past the stand today?" If your home you won't know. Sorry to hear that you're a little bummed out.

went out any way. but i got a voice mail from a friend who had gotten his rig stuck wile going out to a remote hunting spot. the 4 wheel drive wasnt working for some reason. and wanted me to come out with my bronco and pull him out. with the ringer off it took me about 15 to 20 min before i realized i had the voice mail. a gave him a call to make sure they were ok. he had gotten the 4 wheel drive to work again and got the truck un stuck. but i think the talking on my phone was enuff to scare away any deer that were in my area, if there were any near by. did not see anything.

i would not realy say i was bumed out. iv seen more deer this season than i normaly do in 3 or 4 seasons. just for some reason i wasent in the mood.

I usually go buy something to bring me out of the gloomy mood. :sad: Like yesterday at Cabela's (the last place to find a good deal on a used gun) I bought a nice Win 94 30-30 classic in about 98% cond for a bit over 1/2 of what it should sell for??? I went to buy a 870 scope mount and red dot but left with the 30-30. My advice, go shopping! :lol:

I get in those moods sometimes... especially when my wife and son are at home by themselves and i'm out hunting... I love spending time with both of them. For some reason, I much rather hunting while they are out doing stuff, liking shopping or visiting family...
I had plenty of chances over this Thanksgiving weekend to hunt, but I only hunted twice. Not sure why, just felt like staying home.

I think we all get in those moods ,especialy with the lack of day light. Every time I feel like staying in to catch some shut eye I think to myself, You can't get one while at home sitting on the couch or staying in bed. My wife knows that I'm a hunting/fishing junkie and that she and or the kids are welcome anytime.

yep go hunt!! the ol lady n kidos are there year round, our time in the woods hunting is seasonal. i've been at it hard lately n have harvested a few does but im looking for the one of the two bucks i got on camera nightly to show in daylight. well thanksgiving day they were calling for heavy rain for the day and i did get up at 4 n poke my head out side n it looked like it was just gonna pore any minute so i passed on the morning hunt well around noonish i noticed the rain had held out other than a few 5 min misty type rains (not even enogh to wet my gear) so desided to hunt that evening well got in stand a 2 by 3 the rain they been calling for all day finely came an i got my butt dripping wet n left out about 4 (hour before dark) an grabbed my memory card out on my cam on the way out. and back at home sitting at the putter i find that noty only one but both of the bucks i been waiting for were there that morning in day light one at 6 am and the other at 9 am. i now have a bruse on my butt from me kicking myself for not being there

I can't tell you how many times before I go to bed at night I tell my wife, I'm not going out hunting in the morning, but then I wake up at 4am wide awake and thinking to myself "might as well go hunting, now"!!
