i would like to go moose hunting but have not put in for it because i have no one to go with, and you are required to bring someone. the only two avid sportsman in my famly are my unkle walter, and by bro inlaw. my unkle walt won the lotory a few years ago and got a 765lbs. bull with 59.5" spread. for you guys who shop at skips in bristol, "bang" is walts moose. he says that now that he got his, he is done. (he is old and dont want any part of having to darag another one out of the woods). and my bro in law, the way he hunts dont impress me much. if he sucsessfuly killed and brought home every deer he has shot at we would have enuff venison to feed us all for life. some of you may remember last year i was looking for someone with dogs to help find one he shot, or shot at. who knows if he hit it. Ronn you helped me with deer hunting so much last year. if i put in for the moose lotory and win. would you like to go with me?
its not a requirement to have a sub permittee but it is a good idea cause its a lot of work. i got into that years ago when both myself and the guy i wanted as a sub got drawn. they would let us be each others sub but i could go alone. the rules may have changed but i doubt it.
Getting someone to go with you isn't a problem . It's all fun until you drop one , then the real work starts. I've harvested three bulls in NH and I believe Ronn has two or three also . We could give ideas on a few hunting zones if anyone gets drawn .
