yes to all the above. Anywhere they exchange saliva. Heck deer lick each other so it would be possible that way also. However, it would be no different when deer are mass feeding in a farmer's clover, corn fields or a good white oak acorn drop. If something congrgates deer into close proximity then you/nature run a risk. This is no hit against anyone planting/baiting ect just my thoughts.
