gfd, it's very true many states are considering a ban on bottled urines because of the CWD risks at least until further studies are done to assure it's safe to use.
the same goes for scent attractants, animals dont just smell them, many times they locate and lick the scented areas as well and yes salt/mineral licks also raise risks for CWD,
basically any area that causes deer to eat from same locations like stumps, troths, buckets, piles, etc etc etc... those are example conditions that cause elevated cwd risks
so one can only imagine the risks that stem from say a scent wick dipped in bad urine.
