New Jersey muzzloader season

Does anyone here hunt NJ in January? Because I am in the military I lost most of my hunting season this year. I have been thinking about doing a late season hunt in NJ for a couple of years now. I've read about the required muzzleloader permit, can I just but this permit over the counter?

I wanted to try the Water Gap area but I guess that area does not have a january muzzleloader season.

Any other advice would be appreciated. My 2 sons really want me to get a deer this year.
