boys and their toys! Sounds like a nice rig. 7x57 is another round that I've never owned nor had much interest. I hear it is pretty easy on the shoulder and is a great deer size caliber.
Very beautiful rife indeed. My nicest custom rifle is also a m98. Mine happens to be in a close relative of the fine 7X57, the .257 Roberts. It also has a Timney trigger (they told me Canjar when I bought it) and it is sweet. Mine has an air-gaged Douglas barrel, but in my preferred 22" size. English walnut on mine and it's a very attractive piece of wood.
It certainly sounds like yours will be a very fine rifle after completion. There's little better to a big rifle fan than a nicely done custom rifle.
I forgot to tell you that I am building a standard weight rifle not a light weight.I am not a great shot, a good cook, or all that smart, but I would love to tag along. To bad I do have a wife, mortgage, one in college, and another soon to be. It sounds like you will have some serious fun this year...

Not at all, I could take two guys with me but that would be the limit.only 1 extra opening, I can cook and with GPS find Arizona where ever that is! :bye:
