Always expect the unexpected, monday morning I was in the woods early missed a doe, decided to come out of my stand and check the other side of the property for a tree to use my climber, for when the wind isnt favorable from my ladder.I found a perfect spot in a pin oak,I started to climb and cut limbs as I went up,when all of a sudden a branch swung around and a twig on that branch made a perfect be line right into my ear canal,I went to my doctor and he made me an appt. with an ear specialist turns out that twig cut my ear drum.Moral of the story:I better take care of my eyes cause if I cant hears um I better be able to seez um.

That stinks. Hope that ear heals up pretty good. A cut ear drum is a new one for me. Is it very painful, hearing loss, what?

I can kind of relate to that. Only a large tree branch blasted me right in the eye ball like a pool stick size getting stabbed straight in the eye. It happened at work last year. Hope you heal up fast.

pain is not real terrible, ear wont stop ringing, sounds are a little muffled, and theirs pressure like I need to yawn and make it pop. Timberghost sounds like you were real lucky not to lose an eye. Im just hangin out waiting to see the Doc.

i got a hole in my ear drum ,on a water ski wipe out,the only thing that hurt was when my daughter poured alcohol in it twice,,the second time was to see if i realy was a whiner..the doc cut some fat off my ear lobe and stuck it in the hole ...no problem

Gator get a hearing test. Ringing is a sure sign of irreversable damage. I have to wear two hearing aids over damage I caused from shooting without protection many years ago.

I wish you luck.
