Bow season started last thursday here. 9/17...but i had to work that day... So I went saturday 9/19. morning and evening...Passed up a doe saturday evening because she had a yearling with her. And since that day..I havent seen crap!!..plenty of squirrels. but no deer....its turning out to be a frustrating season already..countless hours and months preparing for season...and its not paying off...

I would have taken the doe and then the yearling. that would be a great start to the season. but then again, my hunting conditions very from most other hunters. hang in there though, its still early.

Cant wait to hit the stand tommorow. I found a little trail last week where deer had been using recently, and put a stand there, and put out my game camera.. WOW!!!... Deer galore..i left my camera there a week.....At least 50 pictures of does, bucks, turkeys...I found the hot spot, and cant wait to hit the stand in the morning..

Good luck with your new spot. I went out this morning crossbow in Kentucky. Saw 4-5 on my way in, pitch black (saw their eyes in my light) and saw nothing more all morning. But, it sure was good to be in the woods again. Saw a huge hawk that landed in a tree 30' from me. I must have been camo'd good as he paid me no attention. Nothing like bein' in the woods.
