My biggest buck in GA, don't get carried away now...

Thought I'd post this eight point I killed in Greene Co., GA. It is my nicest buck I've killed since I have lived in GA. Took him with one shot from my 7mm-08 with Hornady 139 Gr Light Magnum SP bullets.

cullbuck, very nice buck, congrats.
Congratulations! Nice looking Ga. Buck!!
Thanks. It was nice to break the ice but I'm hoping for a "wall hanger".
Congrats, on the buck.

I hope to hunt south Georgia soon. I know a guy that has a lease down there and if we can ever get the schedules together I hope to go. There are some sure enough monsters down there.
Where I killed this buck is in North Ga. Like you said, there are many places south of Macon with more heavily antlered bucks. I hunt mostly in Turner Co. with my hunting partner who has killed two 150 class bucks in the past 5 years on the property he owns. I have yet to see a trophy there myself. Did you know that we have a 12 deer limit in Ga? Two of them must be antlered.
Thanks. It was nice to break the ice but I'm hoping for a "wall hanger".
I have to say that deer looks like a fine deer to me, That's a real trophy in a whole bunch of hunters eyes and
if you aren't satisfied with that deer as a "wall hanger" then I'd love to see the deer you're waiting for.
It is a trophy, but I have two mounted that are larger. My personal goal is to get bucks mounted that are bigger than what I already have on the wall. I'm gonna put these horns on a board. Actually, my utmost goal is to kill a buck as large as the one we have mounted in my son's room that my late father-in-law killed. That is the most awesome rack I have seen in person.
got a pic of it? :w00t:
Here ya go.
