The deer season ended yesterday, and it was a successful one for me. So, I guess it's time to start planning for next year. Got some ideas about a hunt for whitetails up on the famous Milk River - where Real Tree and all those equipment companies film videos showing how their stuff works so well on big bucks.
Had a friend go up there this year, and he said it was just like in the videos. It was too good for him, because he kept waiting for a bigger buck (saw 27 on one day). Anyway, he waited till the last day which was a mistake. It started raining the night before, and the roads turned to gumbo, so there was no way to get any place. Except on the way home, he hit a buck with his truck ($4000 worth of damage). Now that's an expensive bullet!
