I have one set up within 25 yards of my climber. Last Saturday morning, 2 bucks - a small rack 6 with a spike following came through and went to the scrape. The little spike ran off about 25 yards like a bat out of hell when he sniffed the scrape juice... The 6 stayed in there and was making noise (scratching and moving brush) then the spike came back in. These two bachelor bucks then started play fighting and rubbing horns. It was a great hunting experience. On Monday morning the spike came in alone within 10 yards this time and for 45 minutes hung out eating Maple leaves. Im a crossbow hunter and am holding out for the pre-rut to start up when hopefully I'll catch that big guy I caught on my camera last season.
I will post the pix when I get home...
