Here's a little fuel why anyone would by a 30/30 today is beyond me.So many other better calibers capable of doing much more.
Okay, I'll bite.
Two reasons:
1. Romance.
2. They want one.
It was a good round in it's day which made it popular, and it still kills deer just as well now as it did then. My dad, my brother and I all grew up with the old western movies and TV shows. We have more than one Winchester 30-30 among us. I think they are great guns, just not as practical as they once were. Still, there is something about them that is intriguing. I recently looked into getting one, but they charge a lot of money for nostalgia these days.
