agree with the 30-06 with my 30-30 getting a close second. i hunt the ozark area so there is mostly heavy woods, and the 30-30 has served me well. i bought the 30-06 when i did a lease in clark co mo and there was a lot of wide open space there. i have since handed my 30-30 down to my son and now hunt with the 30-06 exclusively.
