I have a couple of 30-06 rifles, however, I think I'd go with the 300 sav as a one rifle only limit. I wouldn't have to fight the recoil and sending a 150 gr bullet will take just about anything I care to shoot. Also I could shoot my favorite rifle the Sav 99!

Also, I can't give the 30-06 the greatest ever award. That would take a lot more discussion....friendly debate. :wink: I can see a whole new post coming soon to your local DHC channel. :whistling:

If the 30-30 win has taken more deer than almost all others combined, how can it not be named best ever from the hunting group? I'm not saying it is, just injecting more debate, Most popular round???? Best ever???? Come on...... The 30-06 started out life as a military round then made it to the hunting arena. What makes it your best ever award. I think it is a great round probably not the best ever though.

I prefer the term "Constructive Debate" regarding our discussions here. We've had a few disagreements from time to time that may have led to arguments :ranting:but most times we simply give constructive debate. Some may even refer to our discussions as opinions :bag: .... naw, that never happens here does it? Besides everyone knows the 300 savage is the overall best most beloved deer getting cartridge ever developed! ickle:
