This morning it was 35* when I got out of my truck at my area. Some light rain as I was driving and it picked up just as I arrived. Well, rain, sleet and snow was what happened for my entire time out this morning. No snow stuck, but it sure was purty as it fell. Got cold after a while and packed it in after a bit more than three hours. No deer, but who cares! Another great day (morning) in the deer woods. Oh, and I like not having to give a hoot about my rifle in such weather; a M77 in SS/Lam in .358 Win.

Does the laminated shoot any better than the standard walnut stocked one if they are both 358 Win? I remember my laminated M70 Featherweight is a little heavier than a walnut stocked one.

Karl
Hey Karl,
Seems to shoot the same as the synthetic stock it came with. The walnut stocked rifle is a .338 Fed. I'd never argue that a laminate was heavier than a synthetic or walnut stock, only that I like them better for BAD weather!
