Never been, but I know some fellows who have. They enjoy the hunt and the good eating when it's over. I have seen many turkey in the area. To see one "display" is something to see.

They're definitely out and about...

I was hitting balls at the driving range here in Murfreesboro the other day, and 3 of them were walking around just beyond the 300 yard mark.

do you guys have seasons where you arnt allowed to hunt turkeys? there a pest for us down here but make a bloody good feed. My wife and I got about 50 last time we went out as well as about a dozen peacocks. Ive got a great recipie for them to. Just take out the breast fillets and finly slice them. chuck them all in a bowl and through in a heap of soy sauce and a jar of honey. Let it soak over night in the fridge and then put them on satay sticks the next day. Flame grill'em on the barrbie and they taste great!!!! the reason we got so many on the last hunt was for a large family gathering. Try that recipie. Its exelent.

we can shoot one bird in the spring (tom only)and one bird in the fall (tom or hen) but you can only hunt them if you have a permit and stamp.

my first turkey

ya i went turkey hunting 2 years ago it was my first and on the last day of going out like every day almost i spotted a tom walking a shrub line and he was there for about an hour looking so i know there wasnt any one else out there but my dad who was in the opposite direction belly crawled up to the turky in ankle deep mud (fun i know) augh and when i got within 20 feet of it i sat another 30 min it got up shook off some water and fanned its tail it walked right in my direction and didnt see me bc i used specialized barrel sticker to cover the shine on my gun and i was also wearing a leaf suite on the bottom stretch of the shrub line as it was walking towards me i already having my gun aimed at the very bottom of his head and waited untill he was about 15 feet in front of me and i shot once and it fell straight over and flapped once or twice from twitches and that was my first turkey. Being very chunky and out of shape 2 years ago when i first started hunting it was really hard to carry it back (they're heavier than they look
